Bomb It Movie PosterLieze and I met up with Nendel tonight down at Eyedrum to see the Atlanta premiere of BOMB IT! – A global graffiti and street art documentary by director Jon Reiss. The night started out with some words about the film from a legend. I was very surprised to see New York’s Zephyr there to set the stage. The documentary was great. It touched on classic graf history, and then sets sail around the globe, connecting with writers and street artists. It really goes in depth about the rights of public space, and how a lot of street art is in a sense waging war agains advertising and other public space infringements. The editing was fantastic… and even had some good (and some not-so-good) motion graphics in it. My favorite part was when an artist who paints in the rotted sewers beneath Sao Paolo talks to a family he knows that lives in the sewers, and they call him a hero… their hero – not a vandal. Very touching. The one part I could have lived without was definitely DJ Lady Tribe’s interview. Get serious.Overall, this documentary was great… and I’m a tough critic. It is a must see for any present, past, or future writers. rnAnyone remotely into street culture at all will not be dissapointed.Trailers:rn

I came across this on Original Made. This video is proof that you don’t need fancy software/effects to make a great video. rnQuality shots, the right music choice, and simple editing go a long way. rnThis video does a great job… keeping it as clean as the s13 vert it highlights.

What more can I say… “Stay Hungry” is one of the best drifting DVD’s I have ever seen. This movie was what I wanted their last DVD to be. It was an excellent mix of amazing drifting, crazy DA antics, hilarious skits, life on the road, comedy, and most of all… what it means to be America’s most infamous drift team.Andy Laputka shot and edited everything and really set the bar with this one. He put an enormous effort into making this the COMPLETE package, and he succeeded with flying colors. There was not a dull moment from start to finish.”Stay Hungry” is a MUST HAVE for anyone even remotely interested in drifting. So go get one… and support these guys in what they do.Andy Luputka getting interviewed by Jarod DeAndaDrift Alliance - Stay Hungry PremiereDrift Alliance and crew on the red carpetDrift Alliance - Stay Hungry PremiereWe roll deep, and with knives.
